I had the Ruben for my first visit would definitely get again. Environment was very clean and staff was friendly and customer satisfaction focused. I can tell the regulars are loyal for good reason. Tl;Dr. Place is run very well, great food.

My husband and I happened by there while in town on a sort-of business trip. We love Jewish delis but don't live near any, so finding one while out of town is always a treat. We ordered meat knishes, latkes, mish mosh soup, and a reuben. Everything was delicious and fresh and homemade. The knishes at most delis come from a box, but at Zinger's they are homemade, savory, and huge. Same deal with the latkes: they were homemade, cooked perfectly, and huge. The soup bowl was large, and the matzoh balls and kreplach were outstanding. The food was just top-notch. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the price. $60 for lunch is a bit much. But If I could give 4.5 stars, I would.

I grew up in Brooklyn in the 50's and I have eaten at all the great Deli's in NYC and in Phila. I thought great Pastrami was a thing of the past until I discovered Zinger's Deli. Gary (the proprietor) is totally old school when it comes to Deli. He takes great pride in giving you the very best pastrami money can buy along with hand sliced Deli rye, cole slaw and pickles. The pastrami is soooo flavorful. It is also tender and not very fatty at all. I don't know how he does it but he does. Ignore those people who complain about the Service. At time this place gets busy and for good reason. Everything is prepared to order and the meats are all sliced by Paul (from Sheepshead Bay of course)

Brand New Deli encarnation from the guy behind the former Pastrami Queen. Gary Zinger has just taken the wrapper off this new york style eatery.Tasty and tender meats of the traditional Deli. Take note of their Tall Sandwiches, Cakes, and Prices when you go for a visit. It appears they are a three meal operation too.

Although the food is not too bad (but not any better than any other deli in Boca), the service is, too often, VERY unconcerned....and management ONLY CARES ABOUT THE PROFIT!! We have dined in delis coast-to-coast from the Carnegie and Stage and Katz' Delis in New York to Wolfie's in Miami during its heydey (many, many years ago) to Canter's in Los Angeles. All these "landmarks" have one thing in common": they take care of the customer and want the customer to return. Not so at Zinger's. Although they used to have seedless rye bread for people who preferred it, on a recent visit, the waitress denied they EVER had it, but the manager on duty (obviously a very unintelligent young lady who was a cavalier "clock-puncher") admitted that they "used to have it, but it didn't sell, so we stopped serving it". Well....to heck with the customer! Although Winn-Dixie was in the same shopping center, and open at the time -- and had dozens of loaves of seedless rye -- Zinger's wouldn't even think to have someone spend five minutes going for a loaf and keeping the customer happy. The fools wouldn't spend $3 to make an additional $50 from the table. We left without ordering anything after the soup. Obviously, no one working at Zinger's will ever be a contestant on Jeopardy! This blatant disregard for the customer will not be found in most of the delis in town. In this economy, the competition is more than happy to do what they can to keep a customer -- and wouldn't dare condescend so stupidly to a customer like management at Zinger's. So.....if you enjoy being dumped on, go to Zinger's....otherwise, stay away, and spend your money where it's appreciated -- any OTHER deli in Boca.

You cannot possibly rate Zinger's less than five stars. The pastrami sandwich is pure heaven. No longer the need to make the treck downtown to Katz's This is in the same league.

Ate at Zingers last week. The pastrami is the best I have eaten, and I lived in Mew York for several years. I sure wish we had a deli of this quality in the Washington,, dc area.

We had a great meal here in the late afternoon when the place was nearly empty so great service and just the right banter from the server Robert wasn't a surprise. We both started with Lentil soup with pieces of all beef hot dogs. Haven't had this in years, since my mother would spend all day preparing it. It was so good with the standard small shreds of beef, cut up hot dogs and perfectly tender lentils. It had a slightly acidic note which made it even better. I'm sure the other choices would have been stellar; Matzo ball or split pea soup. Love homemade, slow cooked soups. For entrees I had the sliced brisket with a side of Kasha and bow ties. For the uninitiated it's roasted buckwheat grouts (a whole grain) with sauteed onions, cooked down in beef stock with bow tie noodles. It just doesn't get any better with the brisket gravy poured over it. I ordered it as two of my included sides. My wife's stuffed cabbage was huge and delicious too. She of course had the Kasha as I NEVER had it until I married her. How lucky can one man be to have a good looking wife and she knew all about Kasha Varnishkas. Lastly we picked up some in-house made chopped liver. Who thought something so cholesterol-filled could be so good. Loved the bowls of excellent coleslaw and pickles brought to the table. GREAT pickles both sour and half sour, but (my only complaint) no pickled tomatoes!!

Great service! the matzo ball soup was yummy great matzo ball ,no pieces of chicken though, just lots of noodles. pastrami on rye was good so were the pickles and coleslaw

Every time I go to Zinger's I feel like a kid in a candy store. Just looking through the menu gets me so excited! If you are a fan of Deli food this place offers everything you like. The chicken noodle soup, matzoh ball soup and kreplach are to die for. Try the mixture of all 3 soups called Mish Mosh, it will blow you away. Zinger's pastrami and corned beef sandwiches are top notch and the brisket is delicious. Don't forget to order the sweet potato fries, you won't regret it. The food is a little bit pricey, but it has been said that you get what you pay for. Whether you are going for breakfast, lunch, or dinner this place is guaranteed to satisfy.

Second best deli in South Florida (after Ben's) and not surprisingly it is located in Boca Raton. We Come here quite often given and food is very good (as a deli). Soups are good, great rye bread, sandwiches are great, fries are fresh great potato knishes, omelets are great and on and on. And as a deli I like the differential, the tables and TV screens up the look quite a bit from the divvy and dirty ones that exist scattered throughout our Tri-County area.

End of last year my husband had gastric bypass surgery & can literally only eat certain foods/portions. He asked to have a small amount (quarter pound) of just chicken salad as his meal. The waitress said no, advising they are not allowed to do that as deli items can't be in the dining area (odd rule). She offered the platter or sandwich which he can't eat half of the items, let alone the amount of food. He explained it's a huge waste of food. He wasn't asking for extra or something they don't carry. They have meals involving this salad on the menu for the restaurant area. The manager then came over & proceeded to argue with my husband that it's against their policy to have any deli items in the dining room. I say argue because he came up with an annoyed tone, didn't greet us, simply started telling us we can order a full plate or leave. My husband advised him of his medical issue & he refused to accommodate at all. We even offered to pay separately at the deli counter then have him rejoin the table. The manager said he'd be asked to leave. So my husband left. We had a full table & he felt it was worth losing customers over this. We have always liked this place before but, now will never return. I'm going to be sure to let everyone I know in Boca to NOT come here. I also posted on their FB page but never got a single response from anyone. They truly don't care at all.

They bring creamy coleslaw and pickles as soon as you sit down. I go in for soup and a sandwich. Always delicious. The service is excellent.

Same folks as Pastrami Queen in Kew Gardens and Pastrami King in Manhattan and am I glad they're down here. Best pastrami I have had in Fla. or NY (except Katz's) in a long time. Not crazy like other area deli's and truly pleasant albeit a tad slow, service. Fried kreplach, however, were a bit too heavily battered.

  • Moi M.

Food was ok, staff very friendly, service extremely slow for only 2 tables. I don't know what they do in the back but had to get up to find the waitress for additional service. Restaurant clean overall ok experience of a New York style deli.

  • James M.

Good food, nothing spectacular but nothing to really write home about. Though their fries are great, my biggest gripe is that everything else is overpriced as all get out. Two sandwiches cost damn near $30 bucks.

  • Ira G.

The service from Brittany was awesome, the food was good the pastrami and corned beef had good flavor and were very moist and tender. the split pea soup was good as were the Kasha and potato knishes. the prices were up there some what but the sandwiches were stuffed which was a plus. it is close so iw ill return But Ben's and Pumperdales are better..

I think this is my first review where I'm starting by giving credit to the strength of earlier Yelp reviews in getting me here. I mean, who could have known that a restaurant named Zinger's was going to be an absolutely terrific deli? Zinger's? Since my first visit, however, I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Gary Zinger, so now I do get it. Gary is a very nice fellow, and obviously passionate about turning out top notch deli food. But, now Gary, should we perhaps consider naming your great deli Gary Zinger's? Anyway, I am happy to report that, unusual name aside, this is a really good deli. It makes me want to take a star away from another area deli that I gave 5 stars to recently. My other 5 star area deli was very good, and I tend to be generous with Jewish delis because I'm concerned that really good Jewish delis are a dying breed, and I always want to hope that a strong review for this kind of restaurant will help keep the specialness of this ethnic food going well into the future. But truly, I have to say, that one was not quite as good as Zinger's. Zinger's is now going to be my "go to" deli going forward, and it is a good 1/2 hour drive for me. But that's OK. Zinger's is the best Jewish deli food I've tried in the area, and that includes Pastrami Club, Ben's, and Pomperdale. And all three of those are very good, but it's just my opinion that they're not quite this good. My companion and I each had two 1/2 sandwiches - tongue on rye, and pastrami on onion roll. Wow - really tender and juicy and very, very tasty. Loved them both. A lot. I was absolutely in heaven over the tenderness of the pastrami. Nice portions, and perfectly complimented by the gratis 1/2 sour pickles and coleslaw. The pickles were so good, in fact, that I bought a couple to go from the deli counter that is part of the large room that includes the tables and booths. I also took home a slice of the 7 layer cake, which I devoured last night. I mean, that was one moist cake, exploding with chocolate frosting and yellow cake flavors that made it one of the best layer cakes I have ever had. Also took home 1/2 pound of rugelach, a mix of the chocolate, raspberry and apricot. All good, but I do give the edge to the chocolate. It's a very plain, but clean room. Seating was comfortable. But most of all, go there for the food. I am really looking forward to returning soon. Service was excellent. Robert was our friendly and knowledgeable server, but what I really liked was that when I needed something - in my case, I once asked for yellow mustard, once for more of the great pickles - when Robert wasn't in the area, Laura was absolutely friendly and helpful in taking care of our requests. I just find that rare - when one server will cover for another and give the impression that they're happy to help out. Laura brought us things on several occasions, and even though we were at Robert's table, she treated us as enthusiastically as if we had been at one of her's. The young lady behind the counter said we need to try their "spectacular" brisket sandwich next time. I will. And I expect there will be many more "next times".

Why on earth anyone pays USD to eat here is so beyond me. They're "ambience" should have been the first red flag, the menu was so off-putting ($3.99 sharing charge on $13 sandwiches?!) but we were already there so we stayed. Huge mistake. The bland food came and I couldn't wait to leave. What kind of Jewish deli only has plain bagels? And the only halfway decent thing on my plate was rye bread that I never assumed I'd have to have asked for to be toasted. Overall, it was just GROSS. NEVER AGAIN.

I've been on yelp for over a year and never written a review. I'm still sitting in this place and was so horribly disappointed that I felt the need to warn all of you. Avoid this place like the plague! Not only is this place horribly overpriced for what they offer, the food that comes out has an extraordinary lack of flavor. Waited about half an hour with a party of 5 for 3 deli sandwiches and 2 burgers which should take less than 10 minutes to make. The fries, that only came with the burgers, were soft and couldn't even be considered a serving of dollar menu fries. The meat in the sandwiches was decent, but I can get the same stuff from Boar's Head. The burgers weren't even seasoned with salt and pepper, and there was more lettuce than meat. Really a poor spot until you add in the service too. Any way I can give negative stars? Again, avoid this place with everything in you.

I enjoyed my lunch there today. I started with matzo ball soup. It was very good and not too salty like so many chicken based soups can be. The pastrami sandwich was great and I would have eaten more cole slaw and pickles had they been offered. Service was quick and attentive. I will dine here again.

not the best looking place around but on the other hand deli's look like this always busy, sometimes I get there for lunch and not a table to be had and people waiting I take mine to go food is good wait staff very nice

I just had the absolute most unbelievable sliced beef brisket in my life. The pastrami is good but the brisket is off the charts amazing! Was talking to Joe & Gary, the owners, and they also fry their hand cut French fries in Rice Bran Oil. The healthiest oil in the world. U can actually TASTE the food with no oily aftertaste. Great Job guys!

when not in New York but need a really good pastrami sandwich with great service and all the sides fixing all homemade this is the place I will be going to all the time. definitely the best potato knishes ever had the kasha was excellent including all the other desserts it's worth the 30 minute drive that I will have to take every time to come here

Went here twice and twice was great. Staff was friendly and fast .Food is awesome being from New York it is hard to find good deli. Well I found one

I am giving Zinger's Deli 5 stars to counter the single star given by Steven W. who obviously owns or works for the competition as his review is so far off base. I may not have given Zinger's 5 stars otherwise but only because of something entirely out of the owner's control: The place was quite crowded with very loud, noisy, elderly customers quite apparently from points northeast of Boca. The clientele would only serve to validate my own findings as judging by their accents most are from places where they generally know a good sandwich when they find one! Personally, I have looked far and wide for a decent pastrami sandwich in this town and Zinger's is far superior to any I have found. If you are looking for a great pastrami sandwich do yourself a favor and ignore the naysayers, give Zinger's a try and judge for yourself. I doubt you will be disappointed!

  • Lisa G.

The best deli since leaving NY. Gary the owner make sure that you enjoyed your meal. Robert the waiter is a delight. The food is superior quality and taste. I have repeatedly visited and quality and service is constantly great!! Lisa G

  • Stephen C.

Very good but not the best...at least for the pastrami. Meat was sliced too thin which dries it out, and was machine sliced. Their photos show Gand sliced meat which significantly improves the taste and chew of tfe sandwich. Had a spinach knish with it that was excellent except for the little bits of cheese in it. As a New Yorker of sorts, zingers is on par with many of the New York City area delis, but not in the same league as Katz or 2nd Avenue.

  • Deborah B.

Don't give them your business! There food does not overcome the lack of service and disrespect they show to customers. We bought 3 lunches and drinks and, yet, they would not serve our friend a bagel - because, they say, they are not a bagel place! How stupid is that? So, our friend had to sit through our lunches without getting what she wanted. I (who ordered a full breakfast and even a "to go" sandwich) tried to order an EXTRA bagel to give to here and they wouldn't let me! It was so stupid. IF they are worried about having a minimum at a table - I get it but we spent a lot of money AND the restaurant wasn't even 1/2 filled. Never have I experience such mind-numbing bad service.

Only two words for this place "THE GREATEST". Great food! Great Service! Great Prices. I go there every time I'm in South Florida. I don't know who runs this place but they use the highest quality ingredients. Tuna sandwich is best I've had, knish's are wonderful. They also give you coleslaw and pickles when you sit down, and it is the best cole slaw I've ever had. Hope they never change what they are doing! Don't get the one stars some have given, maybe they work for a competitor.

  • Marco M.

Best pastrami you can possibly get. Always ask for handcut version, your sandwiches will be juicier; no Mustard needed. The Knishes are very good! They use real potatoes; not that dried out instant garbage like most places do. Service is great but, the atmosphere can get really loud.

Food: 6/5! BEST juicy, hand cut pastrami on rye. Not too expensive, especially with coupon found in local publications. Service: 5/5 with the great server, BUT this evening: 0/5. Why? We arrive at 8:04 p.m. to a half-full restaurant to be told "sorry, we're closed." First of all, what kind of a restaurant closes at 8, right in the middle of the dinner rush? Yes, it's a week night but come on. Second of all, the web site says they close at 9!!! MISLEADING. The worst part: when I inquired about taking out (since we had already made the drive), the cashier said the coupon is good towards dine in only. Seriously? We drive out there, the place is "closed" an hour earlier than the web site says, and you won't make an exception to honor the coupon? COME ON. Terrible customer service for a returning customer.

This review is solely for the Matzah Ball soup, I found it rather bland and disappointing, the flavor was light and delicate but it just didn't taste like much. Both the broth and Matzah ball lacked flavor and seasoning. The texture of the ball was very good, and the noodles were nice, but it could have used larger cuts of carrot instead of the tiny chunks it had, and again more flavor. Pomperdale Deli in Fort Lauderdale had the best Matzah ball soup I have ever tried, unfortunately it's no longer the same since the owner died and the place was sold. My quest for the best Matzah Ball soup still continues...

Just an update to the previously fabulous bread pudding... In order to keep with demand, Zingers has taken to making individual portions in loaf pans. Last nights outcome, as most bakers could guess, smaller pans increase the chance of dryness in your finished product. Dry bread pudding is not very good bread pudding. Last night was fine, but it was a huge disappointment. I cannot continue to recommend this dessert the way I did. To the uninitiated, it would be good. If you already had the original, tears may be shed. I will not order it again, but I've been told I'm a food and beverage snob. Snob based on quality, not cost.

Zingers is a great Deli choice for some authentic Jewish traditional food. They have great salads, tuna, chicken, etc.. I think they are more on the pricey side but everything is decently good!

  • Derek K.

My dad insists that Zinger's makes the best corned beef sandwiches in Boca Raton, and he's probably right. In fact, ever since the legendary Nestor's closed, good Jewish deli food got all the harder to find; thankfully, though, Zinger's is here. The vast majority of their clientele are conservative eaters looking more for familiarity than adventure, and this is largely reflected in the menu. I ordered the "overstuffed" corned beef sandwich, and that's just what I got: two pieces of bed, chock full of sliced meat. Even at a fairly steep $10.50 for just bread and meat, this is some pretty good cost performance, and according to the menu, they even pickle their own meats. The meat is indeed tasty. Texture-wise, I find it to be just in the middle between "perfectly moist" and "a little on the dry side". Perhaps having long left my hometown nest has raised my culinary expectations, but I found it difficult for my tastebuds to stay thoroughly engaged up through the end of the sandwich, even with the complimentary coleslaw and pickles. But nitpicking aside, the fact is that you will get a decent meal and great service here. Despite the 3-star rating, it's at least a full star better than the majority of the other delis in town (including Toojay's...), and I see myself coming back again to try more of their stuff. Not a bad choice at all.

Let me first start off this review by saying this, if I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would... Top to bottom everything I was looking for in a New York style Deli. I was greeted and seated by server Grant and went with the Rueben sandwich. A juicy, heaping amount of thinly shaved corn beef, packed between a nice complementary toasted buttery rye bread had my tastes buds on cloud 9. When I was finished I was pleasantly full and thought to my self, "I couldn't eat one more bite, but i also needed that last bite." I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for anything from a quality deli sandwich, to specialty sit down entrées. Anytime I have visitors in town this is a first day lunch option every time.

I have walked in to this restaurant on two different occasions, stood at the counter for a long time and walked out both times. The counter person also seats people, answers the phones and helps people trying to get a takeout order. Not even a "hello" or "I will be right with you". No acknowledgement at all. Not even a smile. The two times I ate in the dining room the server was like a ghost. One minute he (or she) was running around trying to help and then disappeared. Asking another server to help was not helpful at all. Waiting a solid ten minutes for our server to come out of hiding isn't cool when your dinner isnt what you expected and you need to send it back. The worst was when I ordered a brisket sandwich and they gave me the wrong sandwich altogether and I sat waiting and no one came to check on us. My friend had to walk up to the register and ask for assistance and he was not happy and refuses to go back. I have been back several times but strictly for takeout. Placing takeout orders over the phone is nerve wracking. If they answer the phone they usually put you on hold. Remember the person taking the phone orders is the same person who is seating the people too. But lately I have been lucky and have been able to place a few orders to take home. That makes me happy since I really do like the food. My first time I went for dinner and ordered the Mish Mosh Soup. Caution: if you order this soup do not order anything else. This is a meal in itself and you will be full after you eat it. Mish Mosh is chicken soup with matzo balls, kreplach and kasha varnishkas. Kreplach are small dumplings with a meat filling. Sort of like wontons but better! The soup is very good. I recommend trying it, especially if you like kreplach and kasha varnishkas. My second time I ordered the stuffed cabbage which wasn't very good. I tried to eat it but after two bites I gave up. My friend had them bring me a brisket sandwich to replace the stuffed cabbage. Within just a few minutes someone dropped off my sandwich. No comments, he just dropped it off at our table and hurried off. As I went to take a bite I realized they messed up the order and gave me pastrami. So I went from having inedible stuffed cabbage to a sandwich that I didn't even order. I was getting crankier by the minute and I wanted to leave as soon as possible. That night I went home, got into my pajamas and went to heat up my knish. To my surprise my potato knish turned out to be a kasha knish. Not what was ordered but I was starving and it was good. They make a delicious chicken noodle soup that I really enjoy. I also like the potato knishes. The brisket is a little fatty but overall it is very good. If you can get them to answer the phone, Zingers is a great place to grab some takeout.

Well done New York deli food in a sleek setting. Soups and sides are home-made and delicious. My mouth waters just thinking about the brisket with secret sauce and the perfectly seasoned pastrami. Don't miss the bread pudding dessert.

Stay away give bens or too jays a chance beside this dump. I generously give this place two stars. The only reason why I gave two because the quality and the taste of the food was mediocre at best, however i was greater by a very smug man calling himself the owner. Nasty nasty nasty. The disrespect from the man running the place was enough to to be an even fouler taste in my mouth

Latkes, Matzoh Ball Soup and Corned Beef was great. Kid had chicken and sweet potato fries and could not believe how fresh they tastes. Whatever they use for oil is amazing as nothing was greasy. Families, kids, groups, what a great place for them.

Server Tom, 2nd day on the job, was friendly and attentive. Turkey sandwich was fresh, thinly sliced and delicious. Potato Knish was unbelievably good. Add a Dr. Brown's cream soda and the lunch was delightfully enjoyable and tasteful. Go to Zinger's and enjoy the excellent service, friendliness and food.

Great deli in Boca! I'm from NY so I know good. Corned beef sandwich heaped high with flavorful, not overly salted meat. Very good fries served in a cone. Service friendly and on point. Yum!

  • Joe L.

Pastrami on rye was good but a little cheap on the pastrami, the matzoh ball soup was good but lacked seasoning (although I guess that's purposeful due to the "aged crowd's" blood pressure... Knish was average and the cole slaw was also.

  • Stella S.

One big disappointment! The "highlight" of the meal was the mysterious plastic/cloth I found in the stuffed cabbage. What was worse than my discovery was how long it took to get the server's attention. One of the guys came up and asked how he could help and after I showed him what I found, he said "oh that's not my problem" and walked away. My server came by 5 minutes later and took the stuffed cabbage off my tab. DO NOT EAT HERE. Bad service and bad food. They are plenty of other good delis around. Don't waste your money here.

Great place to indulge your jewish culinary needs. I had a Rueben sandwich. I chose potato cakes as the bread for the sandwich (waitress suggestion). It was great, to my surprise the potato cakes were not greasy and really enhanced the sandwich!

Food was great. I thought it was better then any deli in South Fl. I had the Ruben and my wife had the tuna. I loved that the tuna was white meat and not chunk lite. Cant wait to return. Steve

Don't laugh, I just discovered this bit of heaven of food. I had the pastrami sandwich that literally melted in my mouth with every bite. So good and only bad thing. I didn't have any left overs to take home for later. Guess I'll just have to come back!! Really outstanding! The corned beef sandwich was equally outstanding.

Average food and terrible service. We went on a Sunday around 11:30 and the place was empty. In spite of that, the manager offered us a table near a packed table or a small table where you had to sit on top of someone. My husband asked to sit at 3 different tables, but the manager refused to accomodate us saying that she did not to overwhelm the servers. So, we left. Thank you! We went to Long Island Deli on 441 and Glades where we had excellent food snd even better service.

I have had cheese blintzes in well over 2 dozen restaurants and the blintzes at Zingers were not only outstanding, but were the best I have ever had. I went back today for a second go round. They were as good as yesterday. I also had a hot pastrami sandwich on rye. The pastrami was tender , lean, thinly sliced, piled high, and delicious The cole slaw was good; and since I'm not a fan of pickles, I won't comment on them. The waitress was charming and attentive I woo definitely be back.

I love their matzo ball soup. I order the large size soup and share it with my husband. It is enough for two or three people. The sandwiches are delicious. Service is friendly and attentive. I've been to several deli style restaurants in Boca Raton and Zinger's is my favorite.

Been here a few times before they reopened (Pastrami Queen) and again a few times at Zinger's. Five stars because they are the best of the lot in So Fla. If comparing to Carnegie Deli and the like maybe 3.5-4 stars.......but they are not in Florida. So the pastrami is nice and lean and moist and flavored just right. Those elements are the key to success when serving pastrami. The corned beef is also excellent. Yes, the prices are a bit on the high side but worth it......after all the rent in Boca is also high. Give this place a shot and you won't be disappointed!

Food:Meh! Service and "Boss" poor! Friend recommended this deli to us. Waitress approached and asked what we wanted. She said special on board was a la carte, but dinner menu inside "came with a lot of things". She even listed them. As I ordered I pointed at menu and told her what I wanted. In the middle of the meal, she came over and said: "I made a MISTAKE! What you ordered is for Mon-Thurs and this is Sunday. I asked what would be different and she said "no dessert". She brought the check and I saw she charged almost $5.00 for the coke and coffee which was supposed to be included and was brought to us before she told us of HER mistake. I asked her to adjust the bill; she walked away, returned and said: " My boss says people need to pay attention!" He wouldn't let me take it off even though I told him it was partly my fault! In order to avoid further unpleasantness, we paid full bill. I did tell waitress to tell her boss it was our first and last time there although with his disrespectful attitude toward customers, I doubt he'd care! To lose customers who had a $40.00 bill over 2 beverages costing him pennies doesn't make a good businessman! What a zinger!

Guys and Dolls author Damon Runyan once said: "There are two types of people in this world. Those who like delis, and those with whom you should not associate." This is a deli you should L-O-V-E if you'd keep company with Mr. Runyan A recent visit included a corned beef that I asked for extra lean. Not an ounce of fat on it, and it's home made. Matzoh Ball soup from fresh stock with the fat skimmed off and the sodium at low levels for those of us who appreciate being able to add our own. The menu for a deli is deep, and, in spite of the complaint about the pricing, I would say that they are very deli competitive. The service was excellent! This place is far better than TooJays and Bens. So, go.

Zingers is a great Deli choice for some authentic Jewish traditional food. They have great salads, tuna, chicken, etc.. I think they are more on the pricey side but everything is decently good!

Pastrami on rye was good but a little cheap on the pastrami, the matzoh ball soup was good but lacked seasoning (although I guess that's purposeful due to the "aged crowd's" blood pressure... Knish was average and the cole slaw was also.

I enjoyed my lunch there today. I started with matzo ball soup. It was very good and not too salty like so many chicken based soups can be. The pastrami sandwich was great and I would have eaten more cole slaw and pickles had they been offered. Service was quick and attentive. I will dine here again.

The best deli since leaving NY. Gary the owner make sure that you enjoyed your meal. Robert the waiter is a delight. The food is superior quality and taste. I have repeatedly visited and quality and service is constantly great!! Lisa G
